The Pemi Loop is a 30 mile loop through the Pemigewasset Wilderness in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It summits nine 4000 foot peaks following parts of the Appalachian Trail through some of the oldest and most remote areas of the White Mountains.

In Nature Nomads’ first coed trip, we will show you the basics of backpacking and guide you along this wonderful trail in our 4 days trip July 24th-27th. Here’s the itinerary!

Day 1 We will meet at Lincoln Woods trail head and review gear before heading out. Today we will be hiking 6.8 miles with 3700 feet of elevation to spend our first night at Liberty Springs Tent Site.

Day 2 We will start up across the picturesque Franconia Ridge providing 360 degree views of the White Mountains to finish the day 6.9 miles and 2700 feet of gain later at Garfield Ridge Campsite.

Day 3 We start with a descent down Garfield to be followed with a climb up to South Twin after passing Galehead hut. We will be treated with more great wilderness views as we finish the day 5.6 miles and 2100 feet of gain later at Guyot Campsite.

Day 4 We will cross the Bondcliff ridge, possibly the most dramatic feature of the loop, before descending down back to the Lincoln woods trailhead 10.6 miles and 800 feet of gain later. Our longest day, but much easier walking that days prior.
