Hut to Hut Adventure

Adventure Details
August 15th-17th, gear up for a wild 3-day, 2-night escapade in the backcountry of New Hampshire's White Mountains with your guides Candace and Katie—where the views are epic and the Wi-Fi is almost nonexistent!

Day 1, We’ll kick things off at Gale River Trail Head and tackle a thrilling 4.6-mile hike straight up to Galehead Hut, gaining 2,250 feet—think of it as a workout that comes with a view! Once we finally make it, we’ll plop down in our cozy hut bunks and feast on a family-style dinner whipped up by the legendary hut Croo (who may or may not be secretly auditioning for a cooking show). And when the sun goes down, brace yourself for a sky full of unforgettable stars.
Welcome to Day 2! We’ll kick off the day with the Croo serenading us, followed by a satisfying family-style breakfast that sets the tone for our adventure. After packing up, we’ll embark on a rewarding 7-mile journey to Zealand Falls Hut. The trail begins with a significant elevation gain of 1,000 feet, offering impressive views of South Twin, Mt. Guyot, Zealand Mountain, and Zeacliff. As we make our way down with another 1,000-foot descent, we’ll encounter the stunning Zealand Falls and may even spot a grouse or two. Evenings at the hut promise good food, laughter, games, and enriching experiences, all enhanced by unique personalities of the Croo—this is an adventure you won’t want to miss!
Get ready for Day 3, with vibrant Croo greetings. You’ll then be treated to a theatrical breakfast featuring impromptu skits by the amazing hut Croo, who will share fun tips on making your bed, leaving no trace, and, of course, how to tip the Croo! After a lively breakfast and some fantastic group photos, we’ll pack our gear and hit the trail for a quick 2.5-mile hike back to the trailhead. There, we’ll jump on the AMC Shuttle back to our cars, say our heartfelt goodbyes, exchange numbers, and start dreaming up our next thrilling adventure together!
